I reviewed the script again. I wonder if it may be a little long. Attached is a cut down version that should be in the three minute range. See what you think.

If there isn't anything to add from the health dept, I am going to record the video shortly. I doubt the governor will make any substantive changes that will affect our residents, and if there are, we can announce those tomorrow. Our residents have no doubt heard about KCMO extending the order and we should probably get it out today

Health Director just let me know that she has a meeting in an hour with all of the KC Metro Health Directors to discuss the stay at home order. She will let me know as soon as a decision is made.

Joe, will you make updates to the script if any are needed after hearing from the health department? The conference call with the governor is at 430. If there is anything new to report from the state we can add that in and I'll record and send to you and melissa for release.

Thanks, Brian.

We will reach out to the Health Department for an update. They have been responsive to our inquiries/requests, including the need for the original two orders. Last week they extended the order for one week, until the end of April. My expectation is they will be issuing rolling extensions, with a couple of week's notice. I will ask the Chief to follow up with them.

Nan/Joe-

Mayor Lucas is discussing extending the April 24 stay at home for 1-3 more weeks. In the article, it states Lucas is working with Jackson, Johnson, Wyandotte, KCKS and KCMO. It might be worthwhile for us to consider putting something out in the public once this is announced that we plan to follow the Platte County Health Department guidelines (if that is still the plan). It might also be good for one of you to reach out to the Platte County Health Department to make sure they are aware and to find out their plans. I think it would be good public relations to be ahead of this, let people know there is a plan, and that plan is forthcoming from Platte County (if true).
